We had to drive back through the park to our hosts home, and we stopped again at Tioga Pass to look at the stars -- my comment was that we were unlikely to be so close to them again any time soon.

This image was taken on a tripod, using the "bulb" setting, with a 4 minute exposure on ISO 1600. Contrast was boosted in processing, but colors are as shot. The mountains are tack-sharp, which I find surprising and cool.
