Daily delights
My Desilirion wheelerii bloomed with this giant pollen-laden pagoda of a structure.
It has done this three or four times before... and I remembered that it would draw hundreds if not thousands of bees. The first few days of the bloom, I could not find any bees... or just the lone explorer. I was worried that our local bee population had drastically gone down. Imagine my delight when one morning they really came back en masse! They are not missing the flower buffet this year. Thank goodness.
