For Chesapeake being alive. I had a giant scare and let out a primordial scream when she bound into the street to get to me and Escher right in front of a truck. I will never walk on that other side of the street again.

For staying with my parents in San Jose.

For my mother bringing me a big bag of presents from her trip to Santa Rosa and then the Southwest.

For the taste of roasted tomatillo.

For Al making tomatillo salsa.

For picking up the sound and verse of "She once was a true love of mine."
