Daily delights

I was feeling very emotionally blocked. Grief would not come for my friend, and I felt very odd and somehow insincere in this abrupt and shocking response (to her abrupt and shocking departure). On Friday, June 24, I sat down and wrote her an email as if she were there... even discussing her death with her. Tears flowed.
That night I had one vision at night. I could see Lisa, and tell her by her beautiful hair. But her face was covered by a hovering hat --> like a captain's hat but made out of tooled dyed red leather. It was covering every feature of her face like the apple in Magritte's painting of the man in the bowler hat.
I wept hard in my sleep and Al jostled me awake because he heard me gasping into my pillow.
I wanted an inkling of the meaning of such a stark, arresting vision and a friend offered that some cultures have a tradition that when people who were considered of an elevated spiritual level or holy, die -> their visages are covered. It is a sign of respect and mystery. My friend read my vision as a message that Lisa's soul had a quick departure and translation into an elevated, happy dimension. That she is really no longer here and it was a good transition.
