The Only Photographic Evidence We Made it to Keil Cove Beach
Greg took a page out of my book and "pillaged the environment" (i.e. picked up a keepsake rock from the beach).
A few amazing memories of getting there and back:
* swimming past a rock-hewn gazebo on a hill garlanded with chartreuse succulents
* rounding that hill and being shocked by what felt like a glacial stream (maybe a 4 to 6 degree temperature drop in Fahrenheit), but then Greg poining out the well hidden silhouette of a great blue heron jutting out of the hill
* swimming back into resplendent sun; actually catching quite a ride on the current, and having to cut in tightly so we didn't end up in Sausalito
