Maybe "final" is too strong a word, as if a chopper is ever finished, only abandoned.
The decision was made to do a Hossack front suspension, something I'd wanted to do ever since the early '80s when I saw a photo of Norman Hossack's original design and I thought "this is the future!"... not to mention another inspirational figure, John Britten, whose bike also featured a Hossack front end. Also finalized was the general suspension geometry and chassis shape.
