This morning I happened upon David and Siew-Chinn picking persimmons. This tree had only had four fruit the year before. 2020's harvest was huge! The persimmon had hung onto the fruit into December.
This was so much unexpected fun! Siew-Chinn would cut the fruit down and David and I would anticipate its trajectory down and try to catch it with a stainless steel bowl with towels inside. Many misses were experienced... but so were the catches! And the fruit was gorgeous.
