I had a complicated and ambitious program for my 41st birthday.
Thank you all who came or was there in spirit!
4pm (or a little later) we arrived to get the food going for dinner at the South End. Susan cooked a delicious chicken.
Then Jim and I went to hang lights under Fort Mason (the east-most building).
Then I twisted Jim's and Chris's arms to do a birthday swim to the plimsoll lines on the Balclutha.
Then we had pizza deliverd from Za and dug in. Yummmm!
Then we deployed 3 kayaks and a zodiac to go tell creepy aquatic stories under an eerily lit Fort Mason.
It was a true delight... and then everyone was super tired.

Sorry dad that things conspired against you being there.
