My swim partner, Greg, and I are scouting out aquatic approaches to Ayala Cove on Angel Island. Thus it came to pass we landed on the island yesterday (via ferry). The idea was to hike to the top and read the water in all directions. But the beach had a stronger draw, and we found ourselves swimming for almost 2 hours (Ayala Cove to Immigration Center and back).
